app.itize.us is a painstakingly curated presentation of the best of the best designed iPhone apps that are available via the app store (for free or paid). it is intentionally a very small hand picked selection compared to what is currently available via the app store (now upwards of 140k) due to the fact that its very difficult to find many of these apps since they are not part of any of the top rated/grossing lists.
i have spent quite a bit of time searching out the best apps for my personal collection via my network of design colleagues, other iphone app blogs, online articles, friends referrals, and even mining the app store when i have time…
i have seen a few other iphone app sites out there, most of them i have seen are basically just link farms and showcasing the same old top 50 applications you see everywhere else. i started app.itise.us as i believe there is a need to get back to the basics of what the iPhone is all about, simplicity of use and elegance of design.
there are some amazing(!) iPhone applications out there and the designers and developers who have created these apps deserve a huge amount of credit and reward for making them, many of them will not get the recognition they deserve due to the vast amount of applications that are ahead of them in rank, gross income, popularity, etc.
my goal is for this site to showcase new and emerging talent, current talent and represent the best of the best applications for the iphone for design minded folk like yourselves, enabling you all to read about and then download and enjoy using these applications…
thanks for visiting and enjoy installing!
