the most immersive and visual weather app i have seen (sorry accuweather folks) with animatics that represent the weather conditions of the cities you have selected (or are located in). its just an amazing thing to look at over and over. i want it to thunder and lightening and snow all the time now!

the app is actually a more simplified view of the lifestyle and design editorial then the website. something to be said for optimized user experiences here for curated content, love it! for the record, the screenshot does not do it justice… where it really sings is in landscape mode (for video play out, slideshows, article detail pages) which is even more impacting to use! congrats to josh for making it happen!

a simple app for analyzing the tooth count of your chain-ring and cog to calculate the gear inches for your said bike. basically sums up just how hard it’s going to be to turn over the cranks of your custom fixed gear. also calculates what a typical average 90rpm pedal pushing would top you out at speed wise for the gear configuration you have. orange fixie goodness.

looks to be a very cool utility for the person on the go, who needs access to files on their home computer(s). you need to also download and install their desktop app server, regardless this looks sweet! the design is slick, elegant and simple UI. its got individual graphics for desktop and laptop macs, a nice touch! fyi its a more pricey app at $9.99 (£5.99).

these guys at winfield have a consistently solid record of producing apps that are well designed and unique in some way. this clock app is no exception. inspired by dieter rams watch and vitsoe designs from the 60s, its correctly on target. includes more than the usual alarm settings, such as mult sounds, colors. you set the clock and alarm by moving the hands! simple, clean and modern minimalism at its best.
